Extended Hours

DisnatDirect is pleased to offer its clients access to the markets at additional times, namely during two periods outside normal trading hours: before the exchanges open, from 8:00am to 9:30am and after closing time, from 4:00pm to 5:00pm (Eastern Time). You will have two and a half additional hours in addition to the regular NASDAQ and NYSE hours!

As a result of these extended hours, you will be able to make the most of new financial results as soon as they are released, well before the rest of the market!

* ECNs

An ECN is an electronic communication network that displays open orders and also links bid and ask orders for a given stock. In other words, an ECN is an alternative trading system that takes part in the exchange network on a parallel basis.

ECNs display real orders on the market, thereby improving the market liquidity. They enable investors to transact directly with other investors without having to go through a market maker. ECNs operate simply as an "electronic order-matching" system. They do not hold shares.

An ECN must be registered as a broker/operator, a member of the NASD, and approved by the SEC. Therefore, ECNs are recognized both legally and by the official institutions.
